Manitou BF in France is the largest manufacturer of Rough Terrain Telescopics and Forklifts in the world with over 500 dealers / subsidiaries world wide. Manitou has been represented in South Africa for over 35 years and in 1997 took the decision to establish a subsidiary company in South Africa to give focus to the product and to offer their customers the dedicated service and backup support expected. This has proved to be very successful and the company is focused and dedicated to the Manitou range of products and the service / support to our customers. As can be seen from our success in underground mining and the timber industry, Manitou is open to developing products / attachments to suite their customer needs. Manitou’s full range of products include:
  • Telescopic Handlers with lift heights of 3m to 25m and capacities ranging from 1.5 ton to 22 ton.
  • Rough terrain forklifts – 2 ton to 7 ton.
  • Conventional forklifts – 2-10 ton diesel, LP gas and electrical forklifts, reach trucks and warehousing equipment.
  • The unique swing loader – .7 cum to 2.2 cum
  • Backhoe loader – The 1st Telescopic TLB in the world. 2.5 ton capacity and a 5m lift.
  • Piggy Back Forklifts – 1.7 to 2.5 ton
  • Access Platforms – Electrical, diesel and roughterrain up to 20m working height – knuckle boom and scissors lift.
  • Side Loader – 3 – 7 ton diesel
  • Roof Bolters for underground.
  • Underground face drilling machine.
  • Convention TLB’s
  • Range of attachments – forks, bucket, personal cases, winches, jibs, balers, muck forks, sweepers, tyre and cylinder handlers etc etc.

With the range of attachments available the Manitou’s versatility is unrivaled resulting in cost effective use of a multi purpose machine in addition to the low fuel usage and maintenance cost. In addition to the supply of the product Manitou offers long term lease / rentals, service and maintenance contracts and the full support and backup from Manitou in JHB as well as our dealers in Durban, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Rustenburg, Nelspruit, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Angola, Tanzania and Mozambique (2006).
